His Four Spiritual Flaws are in Genesis 3:1-5 Satan was an evangelist and his first convert was Eve. His motive is murder and his method is deception.
Satan is seeking people like a good evangelist, he is seeking to get them slaved! Going to and fro throughout the earth and up and down in it. He is the prince and power of the air, roams in the heavenly realm with his principalities and powers, seeking dominion, he is the god of this world and he seeks to kill, steal and destroy, his demons are looking for entry ways into the lives of believers. Like a good evangelist he goes where there is opportunity to preach his word and to convert to his doctrine … that’s what he does, what he has always done. His motive is murder and his method is deception. He is both a liar and murder from the beginning. He works hard at getting people “slaved”.
His first spiritual flaw is to question the validity of God’s Word. Did God really say that? Could you be misinterpreting His words. Why would God say you can’t do something, why would He want to prevent you from enjoyment. He plants seeds of doubt about God’s word and about God’s character. The serpent was more subtle than any creature, cunning, crafty, making clever use of words to attain his own achievement. Eve was Satan’s first convert. She was the first to buy into questioning of God’s word. He appealed to her human understanding and rationalization. His motive is murder his method is deception.
The second of his four spiritual flaws is He plants thoughts of questioning God’s character. If He’s a good God, why would He withhold something good from you? What kind of God would tell you not to do something that He knows would bring you pleasure. He sounds like a control freak, why would you want to obey a God like that, He surely doesn’t have your best interest in mind. Why would He put you in this beautiful garden and then withhold something from you. If it feels good do it, there is surely no harm in you doing what pleases you. He is a tyrant if He wants you to abstain from something that will make you happy. Surely God does not really love you if He ask you not to do something that will make you happy.
Satan’s third spiritual flaw is to get man to rationalize God’s word. Eve knew what God said, she repeated it to Satan. “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden, God has said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, or you will die.”
It is good to know what God’s word says and she did, it’s better to know and believe it! Even the devils believe and tremble! Obedience is an act of believing. Satan counters with rationalization and logic. “You won’t surely die” Think about it Eve. Why would God create you in His image, walk and talk with you in the garden. Make you the first woman in all of creation and then tell you that you will die, think about Eve. Rationalize it Eve would God allow anything bad to happen to you, you must have not fully comprehended what He was saying. It just doesn’t make sense. If He is holy He would not do it. You will not die, believe me, believe ME.
His fourth spiritual flaw is to appeal to human understanding and to create doubt about God’s spoken and written word. Think about it Eve, He’s not telling you everything. “For God knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
There is more to it Eve, you will be able to see new information and new ways to find joy, not only will you become as gods, you will see that there are many other gods, journeys of enlightenment that don’t have any requirements of you, it will be a new age for you. You will learn about mystics, and shortcuts to heaven, you can even invent a religion of your own. You will be able to do as you please. God knows this so He is withholding information from you.
You will not surely die, But you will be as gods, you can make your own rules and own religion, you can have future generations be followers of you, see if you can persuade Adam to eat also, the two of you will be founders of many ways to God, how prudish of God to keep this knowledge from you.
Satan’s mode of operation has not changed, his motive is murder, his method is deception. Beautifully packaged lies, but lies nonetheless!
It has been my experience that very simply, when you believe a lie it opens doors for demons. The best lies are those with some apparent truth to them. Usually the lies are ways to God that leave Jesus out of the equation as the world’s ONLY Savior. Summary of his deception is that its ok to disobey Gods word. Have you bought in this lie. Here are the four spiritual laws:
1. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.
2. Man is sinful and separated from God, therefore he cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for his life.
3. Jesus Christ is God’s only provision to bridge that gap of separation . Thru Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.
4. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can experience and know God’s love and plan for our life.
